Can Hauppauge HD-PVR be used with 6.3.10

I have a near perfect installation of 6.3.10 using a WinTV PVR 250 and HVR-1800. I have tried upgrading to 6.4.8 in anticipation of purchasing the new Hauppauge HD-PVR, but I have had no success. After upgrading, the digital tuner on the 1800 locks up during channel changes and only pickups a few of the Comcast QAM channels available under 6.3.10. I have done clean installs, removing 6.3.10, reconfiguring 6.4.8 from scratch, but no luck.

Bottomline, is there any way to use 6.3.10 with the HD-PVR, or is 6.4.8 absolutely required? If so, then I guess I'll have defer my purchase until Sage upgrades it's software again.

Just as a minor side note, I find 6.4.8 very slow in updating thumbnails, especially for music, when compared to 6.3.10.

Then I suggest contacting tech support for help. If there is a problem in SageTV, they would need to know about it, or they can help you determine what else the issue might be. You may just need to remove the tuner in SageTV and reconfigure it.

Thumbnail display is delayed until after a short time after user input stops so that the UI is more responsive while moving around.

You can set the delay for thumbnail loading in Detailed Setup -> Customize -> Inactivity Timeout.

Also, chapter 8 of the PDF lists this & other changes. I suggest checking it out to see some of the documented changes.
