Installed as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Working so far.... |

For me, the updated driver has rendered preview and recording unusable (horribly choppy) and TME crashed my PC completely, I had to use the last known working configuration option to even load Windows.
Users on another forum I frequent are also having terrible problems. If your install is currently working, I would suggest not upgrading. |

I installed the driver update (1.0.5.2 on XP SP3). Started recording on one HD PVR. Waited a minute. Went to view the recording and looked allright. While I let the first HD PVR continue record I went to the guide. Selected another program to watch. What a mess. Video starts stops starts stops runs fast to catch up. No audio at all on second HD PVR. The recording from the first HD PVR was fine though.
Have some recordings to do tonight so rolling back to 1.0.5.1 driver. Will play around again when I have a larger window. EDIT: Both my units are Rev C2. Anyone having luck with two units, what Rev are they?

I only have 1 HD PVR, and all is well with the upgrade.

Mine was doing exactly that with the new driver. The unit is Rev 2, but I only have one.
Beautiful cat, by-the-way. |

Too scared to try them out! I'll wait for a few more reports, especially for the C2 units.

Yikes
No luck here. Tried installing the new 1.0.5.2 driver & the TME update and it crippled my TV viewing. Installing just the device driver resulted in the device being unable to start (according to device manager), and trying only the TME update with the previous device driver (1.0.5.1) resulted in a TME error saying the device was in use. After uninstalling, deleting files, etc in an attempt to roll back to my mostly functioning setup (1.0.5.1 driver & stock TME), I encountered new stuttering in video playback that I could only correct with a system restore.
Obviously these problems have nothing to do with Sage, as I couldn't even get it going with Hauppauge's own factory supplied software. Seeing as how I'm not the only one, I really have to wonder if Hauppauge is ever going to be able to get their units functioning properly. This has to be costing them a ton. I know it's cost many of us tons... of time and frustration. For whatever it's worth, I'm running Vista on a 2gb E6600 (Core2 @ 2.4 ghz), with an ATI HD2400 - my HDPVR is a C1 unit. |

Where's the sound?
I upgraded to the new drivers and lost the SPDIF sound. It had been working with the previous drivers, so I reinstalled the previous version (beta drivers) and the sound is working again.
I may revisit it this weekend to see if it's something I did or in my config.

I am disappointed with Hauppauge. Took them almost six months since release to get here? I remember the nice little note that came with the HDPVR stating that the digital audio driver would be right around the corner. Leads me to believe that there are bigger problems at hand if they still haven't figured it out.

Digital audio works fine for me with the "1.1" drivers. The 2.0 ones were totally hosed though.

well I just got done fixing my server after load 2.0 drivers. Thank god I had an image of my system from a week ago.
Hauppauge...get your act together. Test these drivers first before giving to the public!

All is well with mine. Had to power cycle the PVR though before anything worked with it. Also like how TME shows what audio is coming thru now with that update as well.

Hauppauge must have pulled the drivers. They only list the 1.1 drivers (dated Oct 16, 2008) now. The new ArcSoft media updater is still up (dated Nov. 12, 2008), but no new driver. There is nothing listed in the beta tab either.
