Move recorded TV into Video Library
So my TV recordings screens are getting a little crowded - I'd like to move some of the stuff that we've recorded out of the Recorded TV category and over into the Video Library. What's the best way to do this? If I just move the files that confuses Sage - I'm sure wiz.bin still has references to them.
Some of these are shows I want to watch down the road - ie TV series that I'm catching up on via Netflix and Blockbuster. Some are cartoons that we watch daily (Curious George - ~ 50 episodes!) So how do I go about moving these so that Sage 1) doesn't lose the fact that they've been recorded already but 2) doesn't still look for them in the recording directory. btl.

Instead of moving them why not have Sage Archive them? They won't show in your Recordings screen unless you filter for them.

Also in unsupported extras, recordings style malore, you can highly configure this view's filtering. I use 4 different "views" New, Watched, HD Only and Archived.

Cluttered screen apart: is there a way to move a recording to another chosen folder?
Either with a built in command or through a plugin. Thanks. |

I don't care if it's a manual process or built-in, but is there a way to move a recording to the video library and retain the show information AND show up under Media Center | Videos instead of under SageTV Recordings? I already know how to manually move the files to another directory and retain the information but they still show up under SageTV Recordings. I want to both physically move the files and make them appear in the Media Center menu and retain information.

I've been able to move recordings when using SageMC by enabling the option that generates .my files. Moving the video file along with corresponding .my file to the "videos" directory appears to do trick. Not sure how long the wiz.bin retains info on the recordings but it's size hasn't been an issue for me.

I've recently tried using SageMC (again) and for at least the 3rd or 4th time gone back to the stock STV. I don't need to go into detail, but the stuff I gain from SageMC doesn't make up for the things I lose. I like the slick interface compared to the plain default interface but at the end of the day, I just want a system that plays shows/movies flawlessly with no fuss. It would be nice if there was a way to move recordings (and retain information) to the video library (offline or online).
