FTA sat for hd capture?
Any one here use FTA sat?
I used to have rogers hd and got rid of it, now I am thinking of getting FTA sat, whichI understand has hd.

What do you mean by "FAT sat"? FTA actually stands for free-to-air, which is used to describe those satellite-based TV channels that are offered for free and for free intentionally, i.e. you are not hacking anything to get them.
In NA, there are quite a few FTA channels out there (100+). They are spread out over 15 or so different satellites, so you need a motorized dish of a least 90cm to get them. However, none of them are HD - somewhat poor quaility for the most part. "www.lyngsat.com" will show you specifically what's available. I have such a setup myself, but find I watch these channels very little as I'm always on the ExpressVu channels - can't beat HD.
