Isolating hiccup problems with two HD-PVRs?

I don't use Sage, but this place seems to have more HD-PVR users than any forum I've found. I use rcTVCap for all my captures, but like a lot of people I suffer from the 2 to 3 second hiccups frequently.

What I was wondering was, if anyone has used some type of splitter to feed dual DVRs the same a/v signals and if they would both suffer a hiccup at the same place. I don't have two HD-PVRs, so I can't test it. It might even work with just the pass through from one box to the other.

It might help isolate if it's due to something in the source signal, or just a random occurence in the HD-PVR's.

That's an interesting approach. I'm not sure I'm motivated enough to go through all that right now, although if updating to the latest beta drivers and my switch over to Dish from Comcast doesn't change anything I might eventually try it.

Do you get the same small breaks in recordings recording with TMT? If so, Hauppauge support should help you figure out what's going on.

I haven't used TMT in so long, I'm happy with my current setup and just can't imagine using TMT again, the problem isn't that bad, certainly not bad enough to use TMT again. I can go days without any problems and then I have these little glitches randomly for a while.
