Arrow STV Import: Serenity for SageMC

This is a new theme / STVi that I'm developing for SageMC. It will be my last hurrah on SageMC - after this I'm focused on Phoenix

The pics here are the TV related screens. I'm aiming to replace the screens that I spend 90% of my time in for TV screens.

Download it here.

Sweeeet! Can't wait for your import. Will you be enabling fanart cycling? I tried, unsuccessfully, last weekend to update TVIS and AMIS for fanart cyclying. So right now I'm back to the standard SageMC screens so I can see all the beautiful fanart people have credited.

Keep up the good work!

Cool. Are those California Cows in the background??

Looks great! Does that SageTV icon disappear? I see in it in the first screen shot but not the others.

The Logo is just on the main screen - and it is replaced by the Video Preview window if you have something playing.

I hear you - I like the colors in that picture alot, which is why I'm using it. But the Cows I'm on the fence about also. My kids seem to enjoy them though......

bialio,

Looks great!!! been using your nblue theme for a while it'll be a nice change. Glad to see you picked up the imports from Ben, is that last one similar to the TV Info Screen stvi? Did you change the guide color scheme by chance, just curious . . . Can't wait to play around with this one!!!

Regards,
Brian

I've been running it for about a week now at home - most of the issues I've got ironed out. So I'll probably be soliciting a few 'private' beta testers - PM me if you want to try it out early.

Here is a link for the first public Beta for Serenity. It extracts into SageTV directory the normal way.

I'd import it into a clean version of SageMC - it's based on version 6.3.9a_41 - I suspect it will work OK with later versions (if they exist) but I'd use 41 if at all possible.

http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/...enityBeta9.zip

Steps :

1) import Serenity_beta9.xml
2) *Optional* Set theme to "Serenity"
3) *Optional* Import Layout file ("All") serenity.layout
4) *Optional* Restore backup file serenity.backup

If you have questions about steps 3 and 4 I can expand on those.

Quite a bit is tweakable - hit options from My TV to get to the main Serenity options. Most screens that are Serenity-ized will have a menu item Serenity Options if they don't take you straight there from the normal options menu.

btl.

Everything looks great!! One question, how do I do step 4, and what does it do for me?

I'm using this and I've followed all the steps except #4. When in the program information screen the fanart cycling is going way, way too fast even if it is disabled. I've also got a problem where the title of the episode font is a too big and has a weird shadow thing going on. Any suggestions?

I tried importing his SageMC settings and ran into the same problem. It seems that the recordings screen is being set to the sub-group custom screen and vice versa. You can fix it in the screen specific settings.

I'm finding a lot more functionality with this that I really like as I find it. If it weren't for the incredibly fast cycling time of fanart this would be a great enhancement. If just that gets fixed then my family will certainly love this. One more thing I'd like to see would be the episode and season number in the program information and sub-group screens.

Edit: More information - The cycling seems to be fine on a client, it is on my HD200 that it is a problem.

Even more information: It appears to only be a problem when the preview pane is or has been active.

I'm not sure what to say about the cycling - the background does a random pick each time a menu is loaded, but other than that it shouldn't cycle (unless something is causing the screen to reload.....)
