HVR-2250 first impressions
While not the easiest setup I will say it was worth it....the quality is Great compared to the HDHR.....colors look more briliant.
The only real issue I had was the channels did not map so I had to watch each one and remap it to the apropriate channel....kinda like the old HDHR setup process. |

Are you sure? I assume you're using the HVR-2250 to do either QAM or OTA-HD. And I assume you were doing the same with the HDHR. Either way, the HVR-2250 and the HDHR just capture the raw digital video stream. They don't do any processing, so there wouldn't be any difference in video quality. I think they might record into different containers (transport vs. program stream), but that wouldn't really have an impact on video quality like you are suggesting.
