Hasn't been a problem here for me. Are you sure it's not your browser or some other security software running on your computer that is clearing the browser cookies?

There is a 30 minute inactivity period before being automatically logged out. If you don't want to have to enter you username + password each time you log into the forum, check the box next to "Remember Me" before logging in.
