Newbie WinTV 1800 Question
I got my Hauppauge WinTV 1800 installed in my Windows Home Server last night.
Off air HD picked up and worked like a champ. I'm switching to DirecTV with serial-USB connections to the receivers. When I was setting up STV last night, I noticed that there were TWO S-Video and Video connections showing up. I also noticed that there was a header on the card, and STV sells a backslot and cable to hook up to this. Question - What are the limitations of this setup? Can I record 3 channels at once? (One off air, 1st & 2nd S-Video) I haven't been able to find too much techincal info on this.... Troy |

It's just an additional header. You only have 2 tuners, an HD and an Analog. How and where you hook them up is up to you, but you only have 2 tuners and can only record 2 things at once (providing one is HD and the other analog).
The reason you see multiple sources is they are accomodating the various methods of hooking up your source to the card. |
