Starchoice DSR-505 audio outs - help

I've never had to use them before, as I only needed the optical hookup.

The two pairs of analog audio outputs - are those "pro-logic" or "5.1" or neither?

In the menu, there's an item for "analog" audio, and the choices are mono, stereo, and surround.

It's that surround setting I'm wondering about - at the moment, I don't see any DD lights being triggered on the receiver, but it's always good to ask other exerpts.

thanks

As far as I'm aware, you'll only get stereo sound (L/R speakers only) on the analog outputs from the 505. If you want 5.1 you have to use the optical.

Any idea if the stereo sound is pro-logic surround? I'm wondering why the menu gives three choices, one being surround. I couldn't find anything specific or usefull in the manual, but I have to wonder why they'd even bother putting a choice in called "surround" if it wasn't.
Wierd.
