No option to update default STV ?

Hello,

I am running SageTV 6.6.2 w/ SageMC 6.3.9a (iTV Theme)

I realize that with SageMC, the default STV is still used in some areas such as online videos, detailed setup, etc. I wanted to update the default stv to get the latest fixes for these areas, but I dont see the option when SageMC is loaded.

I see in the screen shots here the user has the option, so I would think I should? On my server (with default STV only) I do see the options to update the STV, but on my clients with SageMC, I do not.

Any suggestions?

It does not 'fully' switch to the default STV. You have to do that yourself. Manually switch to the default STV, then from there, go into setup -> detailed setup -> advanced and update teh STV. Then you can reload your SageMC.

Or just stick to the Default STV... it's better anyways.. ;-)

Try Settings >> SageTV Setup >> Detailed Setup >> Advanced >> Check for STV Update

I guess I will have to switch to default first, I was just hoping to avoid that. I assume all my SageMC settings will be retained on the reload?

Mike, I have no option for updating the STV when I go to the 'advanced' location (when SageMC is loaded). I see the normal options just above and below where it should appear.

Then maybe you aren't running the current version of SageTV? SageMC seemlessly switches to the default STV when you enter SageTV Settings. If the option isn't there, you won't find it when you manually switch to the default STV either.

After reading the default STV update thread, I suspect the option was not visible because I have UAC enabled on the clients. I loaded the default STV and performed the manual update as described in the default STV update thread.
