Possible to hook up a DVD?
Can I use the USB in the back to hook up an external DVD. I can play dvds if I encode them but if I want to just play a normal DVD is this possible?

I don't believe you can do that... At the same time, you can play commercial DVD's straight from your server. If it's accessible/convenient? You need anydvd and then import your dvd drive like one of your video folders. Viola. This works for all extenders even the MVP.

Yes - I'm familiar with that and I also compress my DVDs to around 500 mb per movie which works out great but I was just wondering.

It might play unencrypted ones, but the HD200 doesn't have a CSS license to decrypt commercial DVDs.
