HD300 Power Adapter

Why did they have to change the power adapter on the HD300? It would have been nice if I could have just unplugged the HD200 and plugged in the HD300 but no I had to take my whole entertainment unit apart to change the power adapter (it’s built into the wall). It wasn't bad enough it was a different size plug but also the direction of the wall wart is different so it wouldn't fit on my power bar either and had to go get an extension. What should have been a 2min job turned into a 2hr ordeal.. End rant

And the wall-wart plug is *huge*! When upgrading from my HD300, I had to run an extension cord from my power strip just so that I could plug the HD300 in.

I do agree that it would have been nice if the walwart had the same connector on the HD300 as the HD200. I had the same annoyance when I had to add it to one of my entertainment centers. Oh well. If I only have to do this once every two years, I'll take it (when the HD400 comes out, I will do the same swap )

Could have been worse: same plug, different voltage? Now that would have created a few threads
