HD PVR IR Blaster problem.
Hello
i just got an Hauppauge HD PVR and it works great, except the ir blaster. ive tried setting up in blastcfg under sagem none of those code sets worked, but then i found one working. But when i etc. send 123 to the STB it changes to 452 ! ![]() when i send 1 it actually send 4 and with 2 it 5 and so on, and 7-8-9 dont do anything... its kinda annoying since its useless this way.. i also tried the learning feature in blastcfg but fail all the time cant get that to work either. By settop box is a Sagem itsd81 hd. can anyone help me solve my problem? - Martin ![]() |

I've never seen anyone get the learning functionality to work with the HD-PVR. It seems to be broken. You can search around or ask around to see if anyone else has the actual .ir file you need for that particular set top box.
You might also put in a support ticket with Hauppauge. Perhaps they have an .ir file that would work with your box. Also, a guaranteed fix would be to stop using the Hauppuage IR blaster altogether and order a USB-UIRT instead. Of course you would spend about $50 more unless you have a spare laying around. But its learning functionality seems to work for everyone, so you could use it for learning the STB IR codes, and then also to blast them out to the STB in lue of the Hauppauge IR blaster. PS - if someone would use a USB-UIRT to create a .ir file for your STB, I think you could use the basic code to create a .ir file that would work with the Hauppauge device. At least I'm pretty sure you can do that.

Yeah i have thought about USB-UIRT but i think i want to give the blaster a shot first and then buy it as the last opportunity
i found some IR codes for my box on the net, but they are in .bin files and i think theyre actually for a slingbox, but is there anyway i can fit it to hd pvr? http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/vi...6194a8e49c7878 |

You can open the .rmdu file with a text editor (like notepad). It isn't in the proper format, but it might help. It has a device code listed as 593. That might be a pronto unique code, but it might be worth a shot using that number in the IRConfig program.
