I just checked this (took a while to figure out how to turn off Vid Processing <all other components need to be off - not in manual>.
NO - If I route HDMI via the Onkyo 607 AVR, regular content is fine but 3d Content throws the TV (Sony Bravia 55NX810 btw) into a "No Video" message.
Regarding your splitter suggestion, I get that completely. I'll have to keep my eye out, but it looks like current ones are at least $50. In part I wonder what I could sell my current reciever for and upgrade to another model (608 I guess?) that has handles the 3D signal and includes other features (ARC and AirPlay would be nice).
