HD300 20110114 Beta

I was wondering what the faster core system update meant. Where would we notice this speed increase? General UI speed or loading of video?

i think it's probably ui rendering and navigation speed. I thought i noticed an increase in general ui navigation... could be in my head though

Nah-there's nothing up there.

2.Fix issue with specific subtitles - Which subtitles and what problems?

---

I was hoping for the audio drop out problem to be fixed

---

Do not take me wrong - I'm glad that for a faster core system.
But speed is not the biggest problem I have - Old speed was fine to me.

Here here. If I try to FF or RW on my HD300's the audio dropouts start. My HD200 doesn't have this issue.

The subtitles fixed were in specific mp4 files. What are your audio drop out problems?

I believe it was caused when we updated the vendor drivers (you can try release firmware to confirm) and we didn't get new ones yet.

I don't think we are aware of this issue, we will probably need a sample.

The improvements are in the core and should have an effect on most subsystems. For example the startup time was reduced.

Demo,

Any news when the timeline fixes for R5000 will be implemented on the HD300? George mentioned a few months ago that he didn't know when they would be, any update?

I don't know about this issue, it might be related to the recording side.

Yes, the old release (driver) does fix this problem, but then all my MKV files make the HD300 shut off and only a hard reboot fixes it.

Will there come a fix for dvb-c subtitles ?
I will gladly upload more recordings if you need them to get it fixed.

Audio drop out:
I describe it in this thread and as you can se others have the same problem.
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51436

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When ever I set the output to 720p@50 or 1080p@50 and watch something with at lower resolution (p/i) I also get audio drop out.
If I watch something with the same resolution as my choosen output all is fine.
So for now I have it at "native" output resolution, but my old screen is not happy about all the diffrent resolution and hertz my diffrent videos are in

But for now Live TV look good and work.

lastes firmware (also tryed beta) and software.

edit 01-02-2011:

Tryed 1080i@50hz and no dropouts for hours, if I swith to "p" dropouts comes back again.

But there is some good news !
I tryede useing 1080p@50 last night again and play one file that I kown would give problem (also uploaded to your ftp!) and watch som SD tv channels that would give me problems.
I HAD NO AUDIO DROP AT ALL
So something in this beta firmware fixed it

I upgraded one of my HD300's because I was hoping to see an increase.. but I don't think there's really any difference.

It's very noticeable on the home menu: pressing up or down quickly, the animation is not smooth, and sometimes even skips past an item. I see no improvement here with the new firmware. I haven't played with it enough yet to see if it helped anywhere else.

Hi Demo. I'm also interested in this. It is the only real trouble I have with my sage setup (Win7/Sage7). I only use extenders for playback, but in other threads, peternm22 has stated that the problem recordings play fine on his Sage server or Sage client machines. So, I hope it is not on the recording side.

peternm22 has also said he has submitted examples of problem recordings to support. I would love to see a fix for this and would be willing to help in any way I can.
