Hauppauge HD-PVR (USB) IR blaster issue
I've been fooling with my Time Warner STB over the last few days, occasionally disconnecting the HD-PVR to play with some other devices. When I hooked everything back up, I noticed that SageTV+HD-PVR is no longer sending a signal to change the channel on the STB. I schedule a program, no channel change occurs, but the HD-PVR starts recording anyways (on whatever channel the STB happened to be on). Even after reboot(s), still no success.
I then shutdown SageTV and was able to get the IR Blaster working fine with the "BlastCfg" Utility, pretty much immediately. I'm not sure where to look to determine where the problem is. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Note: I also have an original 2-tuner HDHR device running along side the HD-PVR, both of them active tuners in SageTV. |

Scratch that. It decided to start working again.
Now ... where do I buy that USB-IRT? |

I am using both the USB IRT and the HD-PVR blaster.
See if either of these links help. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...light=irremote http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...ghlight=remote BTW, after fooling with the HD-PVR, disconnecting and reconnecting, I recommend a reboot. It also helps if you check the Hauppauge Blaster Config utility and make sure it is set for the correct STB before rebooting. Last edited by doncote0; 11-07-2011 at 01:27 PM. |

I use the HD-PVR blaster as well and I have found that if I disconnect/connect or power cycle the HD-PVR that minimally, restarting the SageTV service is needed for the blaster to work properly again.
