I thought the HTTP method sent a power on? Where would I put the command you posted? The three files for the HTTP method don't look anything like that string.

Thanks,

P

It does. I haven't seen any issues with my DTV boxes.

If the HTTP method sends the power on, then it would seem my boxes would wake up, no? I have been using the HTTP tuning method. I guess I could do a little test where I use a browser to send the power on command and see if the box wakes up.

Yeah, that's the best way to test. I just tried mine today and my boxes woke up without any issues.

With the HDCP issues I posted about in the other thread, I had to go into the receiver anyhow. I did find it odd that I had a new message about the power savings feature I previously turned off, so I checked the settings again. Thankfully, it didn't turn the "feature" back on. But, I also haven't seen the receivers turn off since I initially made the change back on the 16th of February.

Anyone with a more recent software update?

It only sends one command at a time. If your batch file only sends a "tuning" command that's all your receiver will see. It will not turn on the receiver. Try executing the command from a command prompt and you'll see. Then execute a "poweron" command. The light should turn on. If it does not, then the settings for your receiver or your network have changed ...

dang it...if I send the command via a web browser, it works fine. Once powered on, I can use sage to change channels at will. If I shut off the STB via web browser, sage is unable to wake them up.

at ideas?

So, it actually now seems like one of the boxes works and the other doesn't. great...oddly enough, the newer one is the one not responding to the poweron requests.

So more debug makes me think there is also something wrong with my HD-PVR....like it may need a new power supply.

Just in case anyone find it useful, I root caused my own problems and it was a failed HD-PVR, so there was nothing wrong with the HTTP tuning and it does send the power on command first.

Code:

This worked for me on my h24 units which had been powering off.

Thanks
