Recordings ending too soon
Hi there,
Been happy with SageMC on Mac for so long, I haven't needed tech support for a few years! Google? Wow! Unfortunately, recently Sage has not been finishing its recordings on select shows: The Voice, and Dancing with the Stars. Both shows have always recorded flawlessly all season. Recently, they appear to be recording, and either can be viewed while they are recording, but both recordings end simultaneously early. In the first case, both 2 hour shows ended after about 20 minutes, the second time, they both ended after about an hour. Strangely, while watching the recordings, the time bar shows that the full 2 hours of both shows has recorded. You can skip around the show using the time bar or remote, but the time bar falsely reports the time as a continuous 2 hours, as if it scales to match the length of the incomplete file. I searched around the forums, but didn't find any issues that matched. I hope there's a fix. Where from here? Thanks, Mark Brems

I did a couple precautionary things last night, and we'll see if anything changes.
1 - In Sage settings, I disabled "tune to channel at beginning of each recording, even if on the same channel." 2 - In series settings, I set the two shows with the issue to stop recording 1 minute after end of each show, to see if it would jog the stop time. Interested in knowing of any similar experiences out there. Mark

What tuner are you recording from? It sounds like the timeline is corrupted in the recordings. If you run the recordings through VideoReDo "quick stream fix" does the issue go away? (You can use VRD in trial mode to find out.)
Also, turn on debugging and see if any error messages appear in the logfile. Tom

Thanks Tom,
I'm using the HD Homerun dual OTA tuner. I've since turned on debug logging, but I will need to wait for the issue to happen again. I'm running Mac, so I'll need to run Parallels to use VideoReDo. Is there a similar Mac option? Best, Mark
