EPG data loss - again on Sunday

is this the third sunday in the row that weirdness with Sage is happening?
today (currently), random channels all over two different sources and tuners are just showing "NO DATA"...and then...data appears.
It is messing up Favorites schedule to be sure.
Anyone else?

They had a bad memory chip that had to be replaced last weekend on the Server ... it was down all weekend. I had to force a refresh of my Guide in order to get full data... So Unless you did that You might see no data on some channels.

yeah, that was my concern - that they didn't solve the problem, but it looks fine now after a refresh....and just waiting an hour.

how do you force an entire refresh? I usually just do it a channel at a time, since that's how they usually miss data.

thanks

I'm wondering the same thing. I have a ton of channels with "no data" scattered throughout the next week.

that is weird, isn't it? maybe a moderator will be able to shed some light on this.

And I thought I was the only one having issues with this.

I believe Sage goes every 24 hours and checks the EPG and refreshes unless you force it to do it. It was one the 22nd or 21st of October there was a thread titled "How to force EPG data".....something like that on this subforum that gave directions on how to force a refresh. It is targeted more towards version 7 versus my poor, old version 5.

These problems must be related to the EPG servers. I've been running SageTV since 2003 and I didn't have problems like this until a year ago. Now I have some sort of EPG problem every few months. The biggest problem is that I often don't notice until I miss a recording.

It's great that the Sage/Google guys are keeping the EPG servers up, but it would be nice if they were a bit more reliable.
