EPG not working

I know this has been covered a lot, but it's still not working for me. I've set up a 9.x version of server in Ubuntu and connected a HD200 to it. I've mapped CIFS shares, and connected one of my HDHR antennas. Everything is working fine on the HD200, including live TV, DVD playback from a CIFS share and my list of recordings. However, I'm still not seeing the EPG info. I've taken my Windows key and created a file called activkey with it in it. The file is in /opt/sagetv/server/ and is formatted with the dashes, but with no spaces and no quotes. Is that correct? The server has been rebooted multiple times since adding the key.

Thanks for all the hard work on this, everyone!

I'm not sure I know the answer, but I'll share what I know. If you look in the "startsagecore" shell script, you will see that it creates an environment variable with the key on the first line. The file will need to be in the same directory as this script, and I believe you also need to execute it from this directory.

The second mistake, and this was my issue, is I used the wrong key so the server was rejecting my attempts to connect. I used wireshark to sniff the connection and I could see the system attempting to reach out an connect.

When you attempt to connect to the EPG what error do you get? Is your firewall blocking any outbound ports?
