Ceton InfiniTV 6 upgrade to V9 Q?'s

basically I am getting ready to make the move to SageTV 9, and I'm wondering if I need to make any changes to work with the Ceton network tuner? Do I need to upgrade SageDTC? Remove it before installing?

I saw the question asked in another thread, but didn't see an answer.

Thanks!

You should be able to just upgrade to V9 and nothing else, unless you want to.

I have not yet upgraded my Sage Server from v7 to v9 yet. I have however, installed v9 from scratch (install v7 and copy the v9 files over the top of v7 install) and all worked (yes, I have a Ceton Infinitv eth 6).

I should also not that I used to use SageDCT, but I recently switched to Open DCT. OpenDCT is what I used for the v9 install.

If all is well with your setup using SageDCT, no need to switch at this time. However looking forward, it might be time well spent switching to OpenDCT from SageDCT.

Thanks for your response. Is there a page for Open DCT? I'd certainly like to learn some more about it.

Check my signature and look in the Hardware subforum I recommend OpenDCT. SageDCT was not a big problem for me, but I find OpenDCT better. When I watch ESPN, and one show ends and another starts, it is completely seamless with OpenDCT.
