server failed: Error in `java': free()

Hi,

since shortly (maybe today?) my SageTV server fails with the following error:

*** Error in `java': free(): invalid next size (normal): 0x431307c8 ***
./startsagecore: Zeile 48: 10188 Abgebrochen java -Djava.awt.headless=$HEADLESS $JAVAMEM -XX:+UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=25 -XX:GCTimeRatio=24 $(if [[ $EUID -eq 0 ]]; then echo '-XX:ThreadPriorityPolicy=1'; fi) $JAVAOPTS -cp Sage.jar:JARs/lucene-core-3.6.0.jar:/:$(echo JARs/*.jar | sed 's/ */:/g') sage.Sage 0 0 x "sagetv Sage.properties" 0>&-

I'm running sage 9.0.13 with java 8u121. Strangly, this never happend to me before. I didn't change anything on the installation.

Any idea?

Hmm, I'm not shure now, but it seems that it was a power supply problem. I've replaced the power supply. Now it works good, again. Hopefully, it will last.

It was likely memory corruption which in theory I guess could be due to bad voltage supply to the motherboard.

I was getting similar crashes but I was able to isolate the issue to multi-page .tiff files that Sage was trying to display as part of the screen saver when my extenders were idle. This was causing the image viewer (libImageLoader.so) to crash.

I am assuming that Abgebrochen is German for Aborted - if it is then we were getting very similar error messages.
