Windows 64bit Installer Not Working on Windows 7
Hello,
I am able to successfully install the 64bit installer on Windows 7 Pro SP1 but I am unable to start the service. I was able to verify this on a few VMs and physical setups - the installer and service work fine with Windows 10. Is this a known issue and are there any suggestions for getting this to work on Windows 7?

I have successfully installed 64 bit SageTV on 2 different Windows 7 systems and in each case I was (am) using the service mode.
Both systems had 32 bit SageTV installed on them in the past (it was still installed prior to installing 64 bit). The first was an AMD Phenom II x4 945 for first time testing and then running for a short time as the main Sage server. the other is an Intel NUC7i3 which was acting as my 32 server. It has now been upgraded to 64 bit and is the current server.

I've got 3 instances of SageTV installed on Windows 7 and using service mode. I did end up installing 32 bit for a while on them so that I could get the HDHomerun software to recognize that SageTV was installed. But that was after I had service mode running on 64 bit SageTV and Windows 7 pro x64.

I've attached a screenshot of the folder. I wasn't sure what file you were asking for, was it the MS Visual C++ file as that was the only file with MSI in the name or as an extension. Thanks for the help.

What version of Java are you using - I might try a different version. I've tried the latest version of 7 and 8, both 64bit.

I seem to remember updating the Java on at least one of the systems as part of installing Sage 64. I also updated the already installed 32 bit, so both platforms would be the same (not really needed). I haven't had many issues with the specific version of Java .... at least not with Sage.

Nope, this is a Windows 7 SP1 VM with only one account, Admin. This is a clean install of Windows as well, nothing has been installed except the security patches, Java 8, and STV.
