Plex Lifetime - $75 worth it yet?
I believe they've added recording capabilities? The last time I investigated whether LIFETIME Plex was worth the money, that wasn't an option.
Anyone using this to record live tv, local broadcasts, etc? I assume it's OTA only?

This page (https://support.plex.tv/articles/225...-and-antennas/) seems to indicate that they support all HDHR devices, so I'm assuming that you can also record (non-DRM'd) channels available via a Prime.

Plex is good, no where near perfect but I do think it's worth the Lifetime membership.

If I could get in on a $75 lifetime.. I would jump on it. Moved away from SageTV to Plex about 3 years ago I think and unfortunately never have gotten the elusive $75 offer.
I do record via a HDHR Prime and for the most part I'm happy. I do miss comskip though PLEX keeps changing things up, and I think they finally added a grid view on at least some of their interfaces. I haven't had to set up any new recordings yet, so I guess I need to check again. |

Guess it is a special link to get the $75 offer?
Only see it at $120 |

yes, it was an email offer that came in. Assumed every non-lifetime user received the email though...check your junk bins

The "discount lifetime" emails are random, rare, and tied specifically to the email address they send them to. Unfortunately, in 3 years I haven't received one. I have received a couple "25% off" offers.. for new account only.
I understand the desire to bring in new customers.. but I really dislike their practice of leaving yearly subscribers out in the cold. Thinking about registering a new account and moving everything over the next time I see a "sale" pop up. |
