Updating with dish network

My new update is getting closer. The next question. Anyone using dish network with the newer 1512 dh pvr 2? I was using the old hd prv's in my old setup with uirt control. Is this still the best way? I see that the 1512 comes with an ir emitter, does this work? I run a pair of these and use 2 different ir codes for my dish receivers.
If I remember correctly from years ago, I learned all of the ir codes thru the uirt. Is this the best way? just trying to figure out which way to go now with all new setup.

I, and many other users, have found the iptv network encoders to have better reliability than the Hauppauge capture devices. See this thread for additional details. Can't help you with IR blasting as I don't use it.
