HD Extender Firmware Updated

Just noticed there is a new firmware released with 12/21/2007 stamp.. not sure what it does, or if you all already knew about it.. am installing it now. Hopefully this early Christmas gift will keep on giving!

Just noticed that as well, server must be getting hammered now, it's taking forever to download (the first update I received came down lightning fast). Hopefully it'll update a bit quicker than the last, I don't want to wait up and babysit it .

Well still doesn't fix the AAC 5.1 downsample to PCM stereo issue. I can't make other differences as of yet.

One change I found is that the LED for the IR now shows when it is receiving remote commands.

man I can not believe some people, you guys are lucky you even have a HD extender to flash! I would give my left nut to be in your position, I'm still waiting for mine. even though it was shipped out on the 13th and I'm still waiting for it to show up, but now I doubt it will show up before Christmas.

I did the firmware upgrade at around 9 this morning, and had no issues. It downloaded in about 20 seconds, and installed in about 15 minutes. I was hoping that this update would fix the issue with the HDMI staying active when the unit is put to sleep, but it doesn't seem any different...

Is there anyplace (I am assuming not since nothing has been posted here) that lists what the firmware updates are intended to fix?

I noticed that issue last night. This is a bug they really need to fix.

Why? Because I can't for the life of me get my WAF to turn the TV off after viewing. And I can't get them to use the Harmony (it does too much at once).

Just joking!

Merry Christmas.

(I guess I could have done something a little bit more "shocking")
