Problem playing AVI files from camcorder in Sage?

I have .avi files that I captured from my MiniDV camcorder in native format that I have imported into Sage and I'm having a problem playing them. They play fine in WMP and they show up in the Sage Media center (and the thumbnails get created correctly) but when I try to play them I get a playback exception error. I'm using Nvidia purevideo decoders in overlay in sage and WMP.

If anyone has any idea how I can get these files to play in sage it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

Try playing them back w/ the renderer set to something besides Overlay. There's certain colorspaces used in video formats in AVI files that aren't compatible with the Overlay renderer.

Thanks for the info, but I've also tried VMR7 and VMR9 and I get the same error that sage was unable to decode teh video portion. I've even gone as far as formatting teh HD and reinstalling everything. I'm running WinXp with Media player 11 and the latest sage version and latest purevideo decoders.

Any other advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob
