Question 1080p and 720p problems on HD100

I have few blue ray disc decrypted backup in MKV format, there no problem to play them on SageTV Client (audio and video fine). On HD extender few issues 1080 movies like stuck for few moments eventualy and a lot of time a lot of moving object shadows (likes error in decoding) on TV, when only new frame appears it OK, but inside frame changes looks like garbage, like a bug in stream decoding. Also there cases that no Audio at all, but stream includes at least 2 streams of audio (different languages). on most 720p videos it's play stready but also there some garbage on moving objects also. please advice.

If you used x264, what were your command line parameters?

Did you reencode them to H.264 format or just stick the raw blu-ray streams into MKV format? What tools did you use?

Not that this helps you... but it appears that I have a similar audio issue. If I play files where the audio is DTS, then I don't have audio over my hdmi cable. When I play files where the audio is AC3 is do have audio over hdmi. I don't know if this is a HD extender bug or not.

DTS is only passed through the extender. It has to be fed to a receiver/preamp that can process it. Your problem videos appear to be mostly 1080 sourced, which could have problems on the HD extender. It's hard to say without knowing how they were encoded. I have no idea why the XVID doesn't work. The extender should eat them up easily. Could be encoding parameters again.

Robert, thank you for the answer.
There any tools that I can extract 15 seconds from the middle of the stream and to show the problem?

I've seen the problem before. It can't be fixed on your files without re-encoding the originals again -hence why I want to know what you used to encode them. We're (all) still trying to find those magic settings to make 1080p videos play fine. 720p is usually no problem.
