Watching/Recording Live TV

I am converting over to Sage from Beyond, and like things so far - there's a lot of setup to be done, but so far so good.

One question/issue that I have with Sage right now is watching Live TV.

With BTV, when you were watching live TV, it would hold the current show in a buffer for as long as you specify in the setup (10 minutes, 30 minutes, 90 minutes, etc...). This would allow you to rewind, and even say "hey, I'd like to record this show" half way through the program, and it would record the whole thing. If you were only watching, and the exited the live TV function back to the main menu, the buffer would be cleared and the "temporary program" would be deleted.

In Sage, and as per the FAQs that I read through (http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...2837#post42837) it states that it will ALWAYS record... problem is, it adds to the keystrokes on the remote when I stop the playback of the live TV and I then have to select "save show", or "delete recording"... etc.

I know these FAQs are quite old, and Sage has come a long way since then, but my question is - is there a way to turn this "ask me everytime" off?

Please don't tell me "this is a better product because it always records, and that's the way it should be". Beyond had a buffer which allowed me the choice to record it, and I would like to hope that Sage has the same kind of thing, perhaps to set a prompt in the setup that I have yet to explore and discover. I don't want to "record" every single show that I watch, or when the kids are channel surfing and going in and out of the TV.

I am assuming you are using SageMC, since you are posting in this forum. If so you can go to SageMC Settings, Main, Screen Specific Settings, Video OSD, and set Show Stop Dialog to "Disabled"

In SageTV with the default theme, you don't get prompted to save the show when you hit stop. This is a SageMC thing.

SO - if I disable this, and then in the middle of the show, can I hit "RECORD" to start the recording?

Tried finding these options, but no dice... I am using the SageMC - are these in the Advanced Setup?
