What should work

I have been messing with 2 HDPVRS for a couple of weeks now and
thought it would be smart to see what really should work. Or to put
it a better way should I be able to see HD or SD.

I have been playing with the Beta to see if it helped my situation. It
has not.

Sage Client ?
Sage Placeshifter
Sage Mac Client
Hauppague Media MVP

Thanks,
ED

I am sure you have other posts on this, but I am not even sure what your question is here? What is your situation? What isn't working? From what I understrand, MVP and Placeshifter playback still have some issues, but the Sage Full Client shouldnt.....

I am sorry about that. The situation is I have Sage set up fine with
an HD extender. All of the other things I listed I can not get to work.
I can watch ripped DVD's easily on all systems. I am aware that
due to some transcoding issues these .ts streams may not be
viewable on various sage clients and was hoping to find out which
undeniably do work and which do not. I as also hoping to find out
if trying the beta would solve some of these issues.

The full PC clent should work of course that is dependent on what processor/vid card you are using. The others are still up in the air. You can try converting the h.264 videos to SD Mpeg for playback on the MVP. This should work now, but it doesn't sound like on the fly transcoding works yet for MVP's or Placeshifter.....I could be wrong though.

Thank you. I would imagine I could set up a second Sage server
to serve the converted SD files from their own directory if I wanted?
That way to the household using MVP etc would not be confused by the
HD files.
