Trouble getting MCE remote to work with Sage

I've been struggling to make my IR Receiver work with XP Pro. I can't use the rollup 2 because I have SP3 installed so I downloaded the irbus.inf and irbus.sys files. Then I noticed my Hardware ID wasn't in there so I insterted it under Microsoft BB v2.

USB\VID_1784&PID_0008

No idea if I should have done this or not, but basically its not working. When you use the remote the light on the receiver does light up and then turns off as it should, but it seems no commands are being recognized by SageTV. I went to the control mapping setup options and tried but nothing is recognized.

I've attached the driver files I'm using as well. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks.

In Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Remote Control Configuration, make sure you chose MCE Remote.

Also, there is a Information Resources for Remotes, Receivers, and IR Blasters sticky at the top of this forum w/links to more MCE remote info that might help.

I checked the setting and read the sticky. I'm thinking I should just get a xp mce remote or a streamzap and call it a day. Seems lots of folks can't get vista ir receivers to work in xp.
