Oops, I just realized this plugin requires FanArt as well. Maybe one day the information can been updated automatically similar to how sageMC automatically pulls IMDB info (pics, bio) without any fuss.

Wow! So, this addon will work without having to spend a bunch of time with manual fanart downloads? Where does the backgrounds come from? If it's fully automatic, I'm definitely going to try this!

No FanArt

I am having the same problem. FanArt works fine beforehand. However when I edit to select the TV layout the FanArt goes away (however the TV layout does apply).

Your image can go in the folder where the imported media is located and name it background.jpg. If your using the central folder system then just place the image in that central folder named as the show title. Also see here.

I don't know what you mean? Are you using the latest version of SageMC and my import?

FanArt

Yes I am using the latest and greatest.
Fan art works fine pre installation of this plug in:
1)All files are extracted to SageTV folder (eg. C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV).
2)"TV_Info_Screen_V.1.0a.xml" file imported
3)At this point FanArt is still working
4)Next "TV Info Screen" is selected for Custom Programme Info Screen.
5)Now the new TV layout is employed however Fan Art no longer works.

TV_Info_Screen_V.1.0c is the latest and greatest

The only thing that I can think of that may have gone wrong is that you've installed over an older copy. It sounds like its using the old refernces to fanart backgrounds.

You could try going back to the default UI and re-selecting SageMC_6_3_8b_12 from within the advanced settings so you get a clean slate. Then import my import again and see what happens.

Well i have a fresh install and my fanart does not work for movies it does but not for the tv rec i think it might have to do with the file name heres how mine are?

TheSecretLifeoftheAmericanTeenager-MaybeBaby.jpg

TheSecretLifeoftheAmericanTeenager.jpg

i try everything the image is in the tv folder the main fanart folder and the fanart tv folder i also try added MaybeBaby (esposide name) to the image and still nothing.

Figured it out. As usual it was a user error. Thanks for your time. Layout looks great.

What issue is that? The same as Partyasaurus had as I don't know what he did to fix his user error.

Yea my fanart is not showing since the install of the custom screen. If I have 2 episodes, the fanart shows, but the you choose the individual episode, I see the new screen but no fanart.

Ok, Unfortunatly I cannot check this out now as I've moved and renamed almost all of my TV show fanart to the new system and this new sytem is incompatible with the old way of doing things. All I can say is wait until the new system goes live then upgrade to get what your after.

I'm pretty sure it should work and it did the last time I used it. So keep trying or wait until the new version is out. Sorry but thats the best I can do right now.

Ben,

I know your slammed with updating everything. My main question is once this new fanart system comes online, is it all going to be automated from within Sage, and will it work on existing Sage Recordings?

Sorry, but its not my place to say. If you read the various threads you can come to your own conclusion.

Thanks for two great additions to SageTV. The only (really, really minor) issue I've noticed is that on a couple of TV shows, the DVD covers have the wrong info. I've gone into the IMDB chache and manually corrected them, but they seem to get overwritten the next time you bring up the info screen. For example, the TV show "Castle" has the cover for "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle".
And not to seem too lazy or selfish, but is there any chance in the distant future for a plugin for music with the same look and feel of TV and Movie Info?
Thanks again!
