How to make SageTV volume control reflect system volume controls?

Hi all,

I have SageTV (latest version) with SageMC (latest version) installed.

What I'm trying to do is get the volume control within Sage to reflect the volume of the entire system; IE, when I increase the volume within Sage it increases the volume of the entire system... same with decrease, mute, etc.

The reason I'm looking to do this is I've found SageTV's volume meter to be too sensitive... decreasing the volume by one bar seems to have too much of an effect. Plus it's a bit buggy - occasionally when I'll switch media files it'll fluctuate on its own, with no telling of whether it actually affects the volume itself.

So I'm trying to "play it safe" and just have the Volume OSD reflect the volume of the entire system.

I found this little tidbit in SageClient.properties:

media_player_uses_system_volume=false

I set that to true, and now it does reflect the system's volume... but it doesn't seem to be able to *control* it? What I mean by this is, now the OSD in SageTV doesn't seem to have any function whatsoever... it doesn't decrease or increase the volume level (despite the bar going up/down).

So what I'm asking is is there a way to accomplish this?
