No volume control on wave volume.

I use a Delta M-Audio soundcard. This is more of a professional audio card (ASIO) but it supports DirectSound and standard audio as well. Using a Happauge 1600.

I have the audio output in SageTV set to "Default WaveOut Device". Thus, the volume control should apply to the Wave channel of whatever is selected under the Sound and Devices control panel in Windows. I get sound, but the SageTV volume control does not link up to the Wave channel. On the M-Audio card, there is no Master volume. Only: Wave, SW Synth, and CD Player.

The volume control in SageTV stays where it is, whether I use the remote, the keyboard controls, etc. The on-screen volume control always shows the volume is turned all the way down.

However, I am able to control the volume just fine, using the Wave channel on the Windows system volume control.

I have also tried Default DirectSound, as well as choosing the individual outputs in the list in SageTV. Same result every time.

I have the same problem. Mute works from SageTV but raising/lowering volume on screen doesn't have any effect. Using windows to raise and lower volume does work.

Try changing this setting in the the sageclient.properties to the opposite of what yours is listed. (Make sure to quit Sage.)

media_player_uses_system_mute=true
media_player_uses_system_volume=true
That may help.
