com. auto skip not working

I just upgraded to the HD200 from a client pc, and noticed that my commercial auto skip is no longer working with 6.3.8b Pre-release 12. I have made sure the setting is enabled in the SageMC settings. When I start playback it is always disabled. I know it is seeing the .edl files because if I push right-arrow it skips to the end of the break. it just won't auto skip...

I'm having the same problem after upgrading to the latest beta. Anyone sort this out?

Is it something that the updated 6.5.12 JAR file fixes?

Nope. The updated JAR did fix the OSD though.

It's working fine on mine after updating the jar file.

There is a comskip.def file that stores the auto comskip settings for each favorite. The format for this file changed a few versions back and trying to use the old style file might cause these problems. You can try renaming the file to something else and restarting the SageTV UI. SageMC will regenerate the file. The file path is:

...\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\SageMCE\comskip.def

Aloha,
Mike

I deleted the file, but it's still not working. Interestingly, my client pc which is setup the same way works properly.

Would the log file have anything useful?

I'm not sure. I've never worked on this function in the STV. Check the tips and tricks post at the top of the forum. There is a link to the instructions for enabling the log. In those instructions, I think Dirk included a switch to enable additional info to be logged. That might give you what you need.

If you generate a log file you can post it here and tell me the approximate time to jump to when the autoskip should be occurring. I'm not sure if I'll be able to help, but I'll give it a shot.

Aloha,
Mike

Thanks, I'll give that a go when I get home.

Is the source code available? If so, I'd be happy to sort it out.

Figured it out; user error. I'd entered "1 000" in the start value for skipping.
