Quirky Video Information Banner

I'm using the latest version of SageTV and the latest build of SageMC. I only use HD200 extenders with the latest firmeware.

I use DVDProfiler to provide my ripped movie information and I use .my files for other media files, such as TV shows I have archived. When I select a media file, the description page shows all the relevant information in the .my file, for example. When I select Play, the banner at the top of the screen generally does not show the video description, although on rare and random occasions it does. However - while playing the file, if I hit the back button to go back to the video details page and then toggle back to the video - suddenly the video information shows up in the information banner. The video's thumbnail picture (folder.jpg) always show up on the banner just fine.

Any idea what the problem might be?
