On-screen signal strength?

As a diagnostic tool, does anyone know if/how Sage can display signal strength in say the corner of the screen during normal viewing or playback?

It's only available in the "Setup Video Sources". Just preview the channel from there.

Thanks Gerry, this is what I had been hoping to avoid, such is the intermittent nature of my dropouts.

It's not real fancy, but it should do the trick. If the bar gets to the top of the bottom panel of the OSD, that's 100% signal strength.

I'm just learning studio and was looking for a small project to try some things out and his was it. Hopefully it will help you as much as it helped me.

This sounds like a great tool. Can it be used with SageMC?

No, it will not work with SageMC.

There is not a lot of code in it. Somebody familiar with SageMC could probably make an STVi fairly quickly. I've never looked at the SageMC code.

Someday I will have to give SageTV programming a whirl. My only real programming experience right now is a slight amount of VB for use with MS Access. It would be fun to tinker with Studio.

Thanks again, tmiranda.
