Imported Vidoes (DVDs) will not go away
I have ripped many (250) DVDs to my system. Recently I have been cleaning up my directory structures. The problem is SageTV is remembering the old locations as well as the new locations. On the videos screen I see duplicate entries; one for the old location and one for the new. Looking at the details screen you see the old path which will not play and the new path.
I have tried removing the old directories in Manage Import Folders. Rescaned the import folders multiple times. Restarted SageTV multiple times. No luck. I had been using SageMC but reverted back to the standard STV trying to troubleshoot this issue. Any thoughts on how to get the old entries out of the system? Thanks, smak |

You have to make sure that the old path still exits for SageTV to recognize the videos are no longer there. It thinks they could have been on a removable drive or it is just having issues seeing them. Recreate the path by creating the directory and leaving it empty. If it was on another machine you'll need to bring up a machine with that name and path long enough for Sage to see it. Add it back in as an import path and do a refresh or restart of Sage.

I don't know if it makes a difference but I meant to mention the DVDs on in the DVD directory structure with VOBs not re-encoded to another format.

D:\movies D:\movies\Transformers (<-- this is the level I deleted) D:\movies\Transformers\Video_TS I use to do this on a regular basis and never had any issues. Thanks, Brad |

A D:\movies directory would show Sage that the movies no longer exist in that directory. If you always had the old directory available before then you wouldn't have an issue. So in this instance is the directory still there and defined in Sage or is it gone?

Yes, D:\movies has always been there. For what you are saying I should be in good shape, yet it does appear to be working.
I had another directory D:\series was removed. I'll add that one back to see if that cleans up the files that were in that directory. Thanks, smak |

OK, I think I found the problem. When I went back to the Standard STV I thought I had removed all the plugins. However there was still some of the BMT items in the properties files. After removing those items (starting jetty and the metadata parser plugin) everything appears to be working.
I think I need to invest in an alternate rig to do testing ![]() -Brad |
