Deleting one show sets another as watched

Anyone seen anything similar to this?

On Tuesday night when I was finished watching American Idol (which is setup as a favorite) we deleted it. During that process somehow the American Idol airing on Wednesday (the next night) was marked as Watched, so it did not record.

Maybe Sage objects to American Idol being set as a favorite?

Are you sure it was marked as "Watched"?

If so, maybe there was an error in the EPG data and they were both marked with the same Episode ID?

If not, maybe there was a different error in the EPG data and it was not marked as 1st run, but your Favorite is set for 1st runs only?

I thought that might be the case, but I looked and they had different Episode ID's, it was marked as a first run also.

I had my machine in debug mode, and actually found in the logs where it sets both of them (the one that just finished and tomorrows) as watched. Very strange. I opened an official bug for this one.

I've been noticing something similar since upgrading to the latest version of SageMC a couple of weeks ago.

I've been seeing some local news marked as watched, _while_ they are being recorded in some cases.

No rhyme or reason yet, different IDs though.

bailio is right. I saw the log file myself. And based on my analysis it's something in SageMC that's doing it. (the log entries for updating Watched information are different if the SageTV core does it vs. if it was something done by the STV....and his indicated it was from a SetWatched API call made by the STV).

bialio,

If you could send me the log file or post it here, I'll take a look at it.

Aloha,
Mike

I was able to reproduce this - the steps are rather simple, I haven't had a chance to trouble shoot but heres what you do:

1) Watching a favorite that is recorded already.
2) Use the miniguide to browse forward into the future and find the next unwatched episode of the favorite.
3) Press select - this opens up the Program Info screen for the future airing.
4) Hit 'Back' or 'Left' and return to viewing.
5) Stop, Select Delete in the option menu that pops up, then Delete and Set Watched.

BOOM. Future airing gets marked as watched.
