Unable to completely playback random recordings

I am having an uncommon problem where when I playback a recording within SageTV it cuts out usually within the first 1/4 of the clip. For example two nights ago I recorded a show on Discovery channel, and when I went to watch it last night I watched a little over 12 minutes of time and then suddenly the screen went black and audio cut out.

The time on the info bar continued to tick up but nothing was being displayed. I can fast forward through the entire clip and everything is black. If I rewind back to the first 12 minutes I see video again.

If I take the same video and load it using VLC Player, it plays fine in it's entirety.

I am using the Sage default player.

Please give me some suggestions on how to debug what is wrong and let me know what settings you would like to know from my system

I'd recommend that you file an official support ticket with SageTV. I hope you kept the files that won't play. Sage might want to see them to help determine what the problem is.
