Selection On top of text...

I've now seen a second instance where the selection cursor is over top of the selected menu option, with the text in the background (unable to read), as shown here when going to Music, selecting "By Artist":



Selecting "By Song", the selection item is as expected, with text in the foreground:



A) can I fix this in the XML code? How/where?
B) should/can this be recorded as a bug and addressed in the next release?

You can fix it by finding the theme tor that text widget and setting the Animation property to "LayerForeground" (without the quotes).

That easy? Fantastic - THANK YOU!

I'm not a Studio user, so I'll be looking at my SageMC_169-2.xml (something like that, trying from memory) in a text editor. So it'll be near the "By Artist" text within that file, and looking for Animation property?

I'll apply tonight and test.

press cntrl+shift+f12 to open up studio, navigate to the offending menu, then use the UI Components tools (under tools i think) to help locate the frame that you are interested in...

trust me it'll be much better then using a text editor and trying to find the right Animation property (because all widgets have an animation property... at least thousands in the stv)

I never doubted you () - I just thought Studio was a seperate, development platform. I didn't realize it was embedded! Cool!

I did manage to fix the problem - thanks *SO* much for your help. It's those little things that can drive you crazy.


So, what other hotkeys are there to know about?
