Sage V7 - MCE and IR Blaster

My current setup has two digital boxes being controlled through an MCE blaster (and using LM Remote Keymap) and one additional digital box controlled through a USB-UIRT Blaster (directly through SageTV).

I'm very happy to say that after installing version 7, all of my blasters are still functioning properly!

Great news! I'd like to give it a go myself but don't know about how to configure the plugin you mentioned for the MCE IR Blaster. Could you point me in the right direction?

It does take a little bit of setting up, but unfortunately since Sage obviously has no desire to add MCE Blaster support, it's the only way presently.

Why do you say obviously? I'd think that this blaster is pretty commonly used. The MCE remote is supported, so why not the blaster?

To me this is kind of a weak link, having to rely on 3rd party software for basic thinks like channel switching on my hd pvr. If the hd pvr's native blaster would work 100%, then yes, but otherwise you need to rely on other devices (not everybody has firewire available either). USBUIRT is very common, but so is the MCE blaster.

I say "obviously" because if Sage did intend on properly supporting the MCE Blaster like they do the USB-UIRT blaster, support would have been built in already......which it's not.
