Is Silicondust no longer supporting Sage

Has anyone noticed that the SageTV group on the Silicondust forum site no longer exists. Are they not going to be supporting Sage anymore? I was wandering because I am starting to have issues with my HDHR.

It's been rolled into the group for "other" PVR's.

I don't think they have dropped Sage at all. Their support has always been very good.

Interesting how Windows Media Center gets their own section, but Sage is grouped in "Other"

They might be getting geared up for their CableCard product which will be officially targeted at WMC initially.

Its a very nitpicking thing, but I see it as a mistake on SiliconDust's part. SageTV and MythTV should both get more prominence imo.

That being said, they still support SageTV fine from what I've experienced.

We still support SageTV and have no plans to stop supporting it. We rolled all the third-party Windows PVR apps into a single forum because there simply aren't enough posts to warrant keeping separate ones. Most of the SageTV/HDHomeRun discussion happens here anyway, and we do try to monitor the threads and post when we can offer additional insight.

Me too, I am in the need of a couple more tuners to add to my current HDHR but am waiting it out to see what shakes loose.

HDHR CC w/sagetv support = I start paying for cable again, dropping the HDPVR and DirecTV like a bad habit.

Just had to add here that the HDHR is probably the best tuner I have used in the last 6 - 7 years of doing DIY DVRs ... all the way from creative tuner cards - through Hauppauges, AverMedias, and the awful Plextors!!

Can a CableCard tuner ever work on SageTV. Wouldn't SageTV have to be CableLabs certified? And where does it say that Microsoft Media Center is CableLabs certified? I don't see it on any of the certification lists where you would find the Ceton card, the AMD device, the ATI device, etc. Is Microsoft Media Center cable labs certified?

The certification clarification that the FCC made, much to the Cable company(s) frowning faces, is that the "key" to the certification is held and the responsibility of the hardware. That means that software that is developed to support the authorized use of cable cards will be allowed with no or reduced certification requirements.

I understand Media Center supports Cable-Card. My question is, is Media Center Cable Labs certified, and would SageTV have to be CableLabs certified to support a cable-card device. The cost of Cable Labs certification is often cited as a reason why Sage would not want to support Cable Cards, but where is it written that SageTV would have to be Cable Labs certified to use a certified tuner device?

Interestingly, the announcement references "testing" not "certification". Maybe this is the compromise.

I am interested in finding out how the three tuner version will work with Comcast SDV.

Will the SDV adapter only support 2 devices? If so, does that mean that another SDV adapter will be needed, or that only 2 devices can use the same CableCard? (Gee, which one gives Comcast more money?)
