I will buy a 300 in a second if it does the dts->stereo conversion. I have a couple of places where we only have stereo but would still like to watch our movies that are DTS. I see in the manual that the 300 will pass DTS through HDMI or the SPDIF ports but can't find in the manual where it will do the DTS-> stereo conversion.

Are you sure it does this?

Pretty sure there are multiple members who had beta models here who have stated this.

While I don't have an HD300 yet to verify that everything is working right now with the current beta software, I can confirm with 100% certainty that DTS to stereo down-mix conversion is one of its published features.
