Angry I'm at a loss with this HD300 and audio issues....

The problem is I received a 2nd HD300. I have it connected to my tv over the HDMI connection with no receiver in between. I get static when play any type of video and recording.

Now my hd200 works just fine, no static.

I have tried 2 different HD300's, 3 different HDMI cable. analog audio out works fine.

So why am I having this problem. I have no other tv with hdmi to try it on. But if there was a problem with the tv, wouldn't I get static with the hd200?

I'm at a loss here....any thoughts at all?

Thanks

Well seeing that the only compnent that is common is the TV, as much as you think it isn't the problem it could be. Two different HD300s and no one reporting the same issue seems to say the problem is unique to you. You could take your HD300 (along with a USB drive with videos and recordings) to a friend's house with a HDTV and use it in standalone to see if you have static there.

Try setting your audio output to PCM.

Well I tried it on a friends tv and no static. Really weird though that my hd100 and 200 work fine on it. Something about the 300 it doesn't like.

I tried all the digital settings, same thing.
