New Team concept for Faves
This sounds like a great addition but I worry that it may not work so well if the networks and/or Zap2it don't populate the guide properly. How have you guys found it to work so far? Does it seem to work for all major channels and sports? My main interest currently would be NHL and NBA.
And two merge two of the new concepts in Sage how about a "Team Logo" concept where the detailed info screen could show the team logos, assuming that the user provides them - not unlike Fanart as it is today.

It works rather well, but only if the Show ID starts with 'SP'. It appears airings with a Show ID starting with 'SH' or 'EP' do not contain the team roles. For most of the major pro sports this isn't an issue (I have yet to see a problem), but I know that some airings of the NFL, for example, will use EP for the Show ID (Monday Night Football seems to come to mind). Playoff games as well. So I don't think this is perfect.
I have already seen examples of sports events that did not include the team roles (CHL hockey games on Sportsnet had this problem. Also Premiere League Soccer games didn't have team roles - and had Show ID starting with EP). With that said, it's working fine for my active favs: Edmonton Oilers and Syracuse games. There is an issue where a team fav will match any sport (mainly a problem only with NCAA, such as Syracuse). Narflex has said this will be addressed in a future beta.

The one channel that has had persistenly bad data in 2010-11, although not in previous years, is LeafsTV-HD. This is kind of a strange channel on Rogers cable as the channel only has content when there are live games and the show title was typically NHL Hockey but there was not other info identifying the teams. Therefore my favorite of Title="NHL Hockey" + Keyword = "Leafs" has not worked this season and I had to set up a separate favorite for this specific channel.

My proposed fix for that issue: stop watching Leafs games!

Slugger - I'm trying, and failing, to find a common thread in your sport viewing activity. You live in Kingston ON and watch the Miami Dolphins, The Edmonton Oilers and Syracuse. You must be a lonely guy at the local sports bar

Many don't get my array of teams, really I don't either other than to say I'm extremely loyal. Edmonton: No one's sure, the rest of my family are die hard Bruins fans and being located basically an equal distance from Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal the area is split amongst those teams. We believe that, as a youngster, I latched on to Wayne Gretzky and never let go - I'd have been 5 yrs old or so when the Oilers started their dynasty run in the mid 80s. Miami: This one I know the origins of. I didn't really get into NFL/football until I was 12 yrs old or so. My best friend at the time was a Dan Marino fan, so I became a Dan Marino fan. The rest is history. Blue Jays: They're Canada's team. Syracuse: As I said, Syracuse is the closest "major" Div I school around here so it's kind of the team you follow if you're into NCAA around here. Also, I have family that lives in the Syracuse area so that's how that came about.

I would love an anti-concept. Like never, ever, absolutely ever record anything with "Basketball" or NBA or WNBA or NCAAB or March Madness or god make it stop.

I've also made a request to Sage to make IR more "programmable" by being able to specify never to record certain shows or shows with certain keywords. I'd pay to never have basketball show up on my TV
