Thanks Sage Beta Team!!!
Thank you Sage Beta team whoever you are for adding the extended info reading when recording shows.
With it, I was able to add the keyword "finale" and make sage tv record all the season finales. I did the same thing with the keyword "pilot" as well so sage would record all the new pilots when they aired. I for one appreciate all the work and effort that goes in to Sage Tv. Trallyus |

Interesting. Glad they put in a useful feature for you.
I can see the rationale for automatically recording all pilots (maybe you'd find one you like), but why would someone record a finale for a series that you haven't ever watched?

Also I added the recording of the finales as the last choice on my list so it wont interfere with my main set of tv shows I have set to record. I think it will be like having intelligent favorites as when nothing is on it will record the finales and then I can watch them and see if I want to invest time in the whole season of that show or not. LOL! Wow. That's quite a way to find out about new shows to watch. You're the type of person who reads the ending of a book first, too, don't you?

The enhanced search feature is especially nice when using the webserver. During the beginning of TV seasons I use this a lot to see what premieres are coming up and set up favorites.
Or you could just follow www.geektonic.com and read the weekly list of premieres, finales and specials since I do that for you Oh, and I agree - the SageTV dev team does a great job. |

Brent,
Geektonic and missingremote besides the sage tv forums are my favorite places to check for updates as I can't live without the sites. |

Good point. I've used that one before as well.

This feature has been nice. However, it has been there for some time... I've had a keyword favorite set up to capture the CMA awards for my wife. Using just the keyword 'CMA' grabs it every time it comes up. Regardless of the year or us having to remember.
Edit... Just re-read OP, different feature... Both are nice! |
