Plugin: Anti-Favorites for Dummies

This plugin does pretty much the same thing as the favorites-excluder plugin by flachbar and JREkiwi, except it's a lot simpler to use and it's less powerful.

This is the first beta so to install it you must unzip the attached manifest to the Sage install directory on your server.

After installing the UI Mod (don't install the general plugin directly) you will see an additional option in the "Recording Options" menu allowing you to select (or de-select) a show as an anti-Favorite. Once you set a show as an anti-favorite it will never be recorded again.

You can manage your anti-Favorites by going to TV -> Schedule Recordings -> Manage Anti-Favorites.

Just put this in the repository since it has worked well for me. Next update will add the ability to not set future Airings "Don't Like". Always setting all future Airings Don't Like impacts Intelligent Recording is ways some people may not like.

Version 0.02 uploaded. You can now not have future Airings marked as "Don't Like" which is useful if you use Intelligent Recording. For example, I love auto racing but there are a few types of races I do not want to be recorded. If you set these as an anti-favorite and all of the future Airings are marked Don't Like, the IR engine starts to think you do not want to record any more auto races, which in my case is not true.

If anybody would like to see any enhancements to this let me know, otherwise I'm moving on to something else.

Does this Plugin still work? I've installed but don't see any way to add in Recording options menu...

Found it, was in the options menu for the group rather than the recording itself. Now working.

Been on vacation with no access to the Internet so I just saw this. It should be in the recording options menu, not sure why you didn't see it in there right below the "Add as Favorite" option.

By the way, for a fantastic vacation I'd highly recommend the Galapagos Islands!

Thanks, found it for myself in the end.

Did you do any diving there? I hear the diving is something else...

Nope, not a diver. Did a lot of snorkeling and really that was better than diving. Unbelievable number of sea lions, turtles and fish. The dive gear would only have gotten in the way

Haha, there speaks "not a diver."

Galapagos is a great trip -- my family went a couple of years ago and had a great time. Did some snorkeling and got 'attacked' by a couple of playful sea lions. Saw some beautiful sea life at Kicker Rock.

I wasn't a diver then, but the experience motivated me to get my certification.

I also got "attacked" by a playful sea lion or two. We also saw a sea lion pup that was born about 10 minutes before we arrived. Also saw a Frigate attack a boobie and almost kill it. Nature in all its glory.

Thinking about using Snapfish to share photos with the other people on the boat. That's my weekend project.
