Does SageTV support sending of "-"?

DirecTV has started to place content on various "-1" and "-2" channels; for example, ESPN might be on 219, but ESPN-Alternate is on 219-1.

If SageTV had a channel called "219-1", would it be able to IRBlast the "-"?

What are you using to capture the digital channels? You will need to remap these channels to a channel number without the "-" in it.

Let's assume it's a DirecTV HD receiver into an HD-PVR or Colossus. DTV is going to be soon introducing channel numbers on its receivers like 219-1. Will such users be able to handle this? My gut tells me yes because the DTV remote must be able to input "219-1" somehow so I figure it'd be just a matter of teaching the UIRT (or whatever IR device one is using) how to blast the '-' when doing channel changes.

Hmmm, I've got the same problem and an additional one. I can't tune in the new "-1" channels and even if I could the guide data does not list the new channels.

I'm in Wisconsin and the only thing this really affects for me is Milwaukee Brewers games which are now on channel 668-1. The guide lists the games on 669, a channel that no longer exists on the DirecTV lineup. The only way I can record them now is to be home when the game starts and set up a manual recording on any DTV channel. When it starts, I go to the basement where all the equipment is and use the DTV remote to change the STB to the correct channel manually.

Good thing I'm not a hard core sports fan.

So, you are saying that your guide data is correct in sage on 669, for the channel that is now broadcast/tuned into as 668-1? That means you need to go into the channel lineup in sage, scroll down to channel 669, and do a 'physical remap' to 668-1. That, at least, will associate the guide data with the right physical channel.

Now, being able to tune the channel will depend on how you are controlling your STB currently.
